Finally found a great concealer for dark circles

I finally found an amazing concealer. It is Full Cover by Make Up For Ever. It retails for $30. A bit pricey but it works really well.  This stuff is sooo amazing. Goes on nice and thick and smooth and dries to a nice matte finish without creasing. It comes in a lot of different colors too. The awesome part is that it is oil free and waterproof. Woo Hoo. If you have dry skin,  make sure to moisturize and wear eye cream before applying .

When one door closes-one opens up.

I have been sick again with a sore throat and lost my voice for a few days but I am finally feeling better. I know I shouldn't but I just had the most amazing coffee. It is called Intelligentista. This stuff smells and tastes soooo good. Mmmm. Hopefully it makes me more intelligent. Haa haa. Just kidding. Anyway, I have exciting news... The contract with the small part-time job I was doing ended yesterday so I am now free to start this makeup and tanning biz full-time. Yesterday I got a call from a friend who owns a salon who needs me to do makeup for a wedding in three weeks since her makeup artist quit. I am so excited and have a lot of things to do in preparation. So today I will clean and organize my kit. Yippeee. It's like catching up with an old friend. I know, I am strange but some people will understand. I am also busy getting a domain name and business cards since I will be setting up the web site soon. Off for a run and then errands.

Great Friends=Great Inspiration

So I have been feeling a little overwhelmed by this whole process of starting my business again but yesterday I had the great pleasure of chatting with friends who are very supportive and inspiring. So with this said, I have put together a few plans for some great makeup looks that I will be working on in the next few weeks.  One look is a very earthy Fall/Autumn "mother earth" look. This may sound crazy but I have a model who is perfect for this and I am really excited to see how this will turn out. I will post photos as soon as I complete it. On another note, I got the Jetta Wagon in dark silver and I cannot decide if I want my husband's car or mine. He really wants my car but I am not sure about his. He has a Toyota Venza with no sunroof and cloth seats and the Jetta has a HUGE sunroof and "pleather" seats but I like the look of the Venza better. Ugh.. I sound like a selfish brat but I need to make a decision soon. Anyhoo. Off to return my Audi today since the lease ended. Boooo.. I will miss that car. We had great memories!!

Here I go!!!

Well, here I am in the first stages of getting back out there as a makeup artist after taking some much needed time to adjust to being a mommy. I am  now working on recruiting models and searching for photographers and getting ready to set up my portfolio. Today I am pulling inspiration from magazines but I think I may go out for a walk and get inspiration from outside. The most inspiration I have is from Yo Gabba Gabba and ya know that just may work for a whimsical look. One of the first things I am doing today is shopping for a car but I am still hesitant about the Jetta Wagon so I may go drive one again to make sure I like it but I am still unsure about the color. I think I am settling on white since I have had black my entire life.
